Dr. Derek Conover believes in actively participating in the Center City community and the greater Philadelphia metro area. He takes time annually to give back to the community through various volunteer opportunities and charitable organizations. Dr. Conover sits on the board of the Garces Foundation and donates his time and skills whenever possible.
Community Service & Volunteering
- Chinatown Community Clinic – provided monthly oral cancer screenings with Penn Dental Medicine students.
- Community Volunteers in Medicine – Board Fellow Emeritus and Staff Dentist.
- Donated Dental Services – provide free, comprehensive dental care to military veterans in a private practice setting (minimum 2 patients per year).
Dental Lifeline Network
Dr. Conover has participated with this national organization that provides dental care for special needs patients without access or the ability to pay.
A paticipating dentist for 8 years, Dr. Conover typically sees 2 patients per year, providing dental care and any necessary lab work free of charge.
The above before and after photos are of a local veteran who had lost all of his natural teeth. Dr. Conover created new dentures and gave him back a beautiful, functional smile.
Give Back A Smile
Dr. Doray proudly participates in The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry Charitable Foundation’s (AACDCF) Give Back a Smile (GBAS) program. This program aims to heal some of the effects of domestic violence. Dr. Doray is proud to offer her expertise to victims of domestic abuse and create life changing smile restorations for them.
