Chipped or cracked teeth can sometimes be conservatively repaired with resin bonding. After cleaning the damaged tooth surface, Dr. Doray applies a plastic tooth-colored material and shapes it to restore the damaged area. The plastic, or resin, hardens when exposed to a special light, and then the new surface is smoothed and polished. This procedure is commonly known as "bonding."
